How to get text placed at bottom of hub page RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to put some text at the bottom of the first section but I cant seem to get the template to work properly. I need it to be flexible enough to appear at the bottom regardless of what device or resolution its running on.

    The XAML looks like this at the moment

    <DataTemplate>
       <Grid Margin="80,500,0,0">
           <Grid.RowDefinitions>
               <RowDefinition Height="100" />
               <RowDefinition Height="50*"/>
           </Grid.RowDefinitions>
           <TextBlock Name="txtTitle" Text="{Binding project.Title}" FontSize="50" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Grid.Row="0"/>
           <TextBlock Name="txtDescription" Text="{Binding project.Brief}" FontSize="20" TextWrapping="Wrap" TextTrimming="CharacterEllipsis" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Grid.Row="1" />
       </Grid>
    </DataTemplate>

  • Hello MalBall,

    You have to stretch verticaly your HubSection to display text at the bottom of your section.

    <HubSection Width="500"
                Header="Section"
                VerticalAlignment="Stretch"
                VerticalContentAlignment="Stretch">
        <DataTemplate>
            <Grid>
                <TextBlock Text="Bottom Text"
                            VerticalAlignment="Bottom"/>
            </Grid>
        </DataTemplate>
    </HubSection>

     Don't hesitate to tell me if it still does not work.
