WebBrowser and Java behaves strange win7 64bit RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

I've done a very simple application in WPF which include just a WebBrowser component and load a website. The application was built on Windows XP pro SP3, with Visual Studio 2008, Visual Basic and was installed on a Windows7, 64bit computer.

The same website loaded on the Windows XP computer loads the java component within the webpage correctly and shows it. The same application installed on Win7, 64bit ask me to install Java every times even if java is already installed. At the end of the installation the java component is not shown properly. The same webpage opened on Internet Explorer works perfectly.

Why is there this difference between them? How can I solve this problem?

    Best regards

    Thanks Cool Dev.

I've installed both Java RTE 32bit and RTE64bit as suggested by http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and now it works perfectly!

I like this forum because this is one of the few forum where you place a question and you usually get a good reply in a very short time!

    Cheers
