Powerpoint - Autoupdate embeded excel formulas during slide show RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to have PowerPoint (version 2013 or O365 flavor) auto update embedded Excel Formula during a rotating slide show?

    I am trying to use a formula in the powerpoint presentation that increments a count each day after a certain day, for example:

    =DAYS(TODAY(),"10/1/2015")

    This works if the presentation is relaunched, but I would like to keep it running for weeks on a loop, but have the presentation/slideshow update automatically as it cycles through.

    Is there an easy way to accomplish this?  I found a link where someone had an Add-In for older versions Powerpoint, but this did not seem to work for 2013 as it referenced a Tool menu, which no longer exists.  Looking for ideas... :)

    Thanks,

    I am not sure what you want, did you want the event occurred when slide changed? If so, I suggest you use App_SlideSelectionChanged.

    For more information about App_SlideSelectionChanged, you could refer the link below:
    # Application.SlideSelectionChanged Event (PowerPoint)

    For more information about events in PowerPoint, you could refer the link below:
    # Use Events with the Application Object

    If I misunderstood you, please feel free to let me know.

    Best Regards,

    Edward
