Using WM6.5 as a BT to WiFi bridge RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Windows Mobile 6.5 device with bluetooth and 802.11 WiFi. I would like to allow a device connected via bluetooth access to the network provided by the WiFi connection; essentially turning the WM6.5 device into a bluetooth to WiFi Gateway.

     BT device WM6.5 BT WM6.5 WiFi PC
    192.168.100.2/24 192.168.100.1/24 192.168.0.2/24 192.168.0.1/24

    So, using the IPHelperAPI, I set a static route on the WM6.5 device like this:
    Dest: 192.168.0.1
    Netmask: 255.255.255.255
    Gateway: 192.168.0.2
    Adapter: Bluetooth

    Unfortunately, I can't ping from the BT device to the PC. My pings end up like this:
    100.2 -> 0.2 OK
    0.1 -> 100.1 OK
    100.2 -> 0.1 FAIL
    0.1 -> 100.2 FAIL

    What do I need to do to communicate from the BT device to the PC?

    Thanks,
    PaulH

    Hi PaulH79,

    As far as I know, the Bluetooth will be abstracted as a stock, so I wonder that if two stocks cannot work at the same time?

    Best regards,

    Jesse

  • I can run both pings concurrently, so I think both stacks are up and running at the same time.
