Imagery API : Is it allowed to save images to include in a PDF RRS feed

  • Question

  • Imagery API

If I create an image using the imagery API, can I ..

    1) save it in a file, and use it on a website

    2) save it, and include it in a PDF

    3) does the same apply for images with Ordnance Survey mapping

I did check the REST API Terms and Conditions. It did say you could NOT save aerial imagery.

    Many Thanks

    Andrew

  • This would fall under the print terms of use: http://www.microsoft.com/maps/product/print-rights.html

You can save files of the maps, within the terms. Note there is a limit on the number of copies of the file (or file loads on the web) that are allowed. For the free terms of use this is 10 copies. If you have an enterprise license then this goes up to 5,000. Including in a PDF is fine as long as it falls in line with the rest of the terms of use.

Ordnance Survey maps are not allowed to be saved.
