Does Visual Studio 2013 still support WPF Designer Extensibility? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I found some documentation on WPF Designer Extensibility for .NET Framework 3.5 and I tried out the "How To" here:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb907313%28v=vs.90%29.aspx

I tried it in Visual Studio 2013, but I wasn't ever able to get the design extension to work.  Does Visual Studio 2013 still support WPF Extensibility?  If so, what might be different between when the "How To" was written and now that would cause the instructions to fail?  Or is there another way to control WPF controls at design time?

    Thanks!

  • Hi dj_wa,

I also did some research about it, it seems that it just has this feature in VS2010 or old versions, no official information about it in VS2013 now, so I doubt that it would have a limitation for it.

You could submit this feature request: http://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/121579-visual-studio. The Visual Studio product team is listening to user voice there. You can send your idea there and people can vote. If you submit this suggestion, I hope you could post that link here, I will help you vote it. Thanks for your understanding.

    Best Regards,
