    -          I have a tenant in Windows Azure

    • Tenant : thomascollierdriveit.onmicrosoft.com

Office 365 has Active Directory of Azure in the background, so I assume that this has been propagated to another account, on which I have no access on Azure as part of Office 365. For me it is OK to merge the Azure Account with the Office 365 Azure account, or even move the subscription to that account. I have nothing on my Azure Subscription that I need, as I am testing software for development

But I have no means to open a ticket or to have someone look at this issue. How can I get support for this issue?

I have created a ticket on Office 365 allready, but they closed it, as it is a Azure issue. ( Case ID : SRX1265216033ID )

Can someone help me with this issue?

  • Hi Thomas,

I am going to assume that your logged into Azure with a Microsoft Account (Live ID) which means a new AAD is created for you by default. In this scenario you need to in essence grant your MSA access to your existing Azure AD which is the one that as created as part of you signing up for Office 365 in this case.

I have written some instructions on how to do this, and also change the Default Directory Associated to your Subscription so that you can assign your existing AAD Accounts as Co-Administrators so that going forward you won't have to rely on the MSA (it's actually better practice in the Enterprise to use AAD Accounts across all Microsoft Online Services anyhow, Not MSAs).

Please review the following article: http://www.edutech.me.uk/active-directory/link-microsoft-office-365-organization-account-to-windows-azure-subscription/

Once you have done this if you log a support case the Subscriptions Team will be able to assist you with transferring the Account Administrator over to a Work Account aka Organizational Account so that you no longer need to use your MSA.

Note: If your MSA is someone@contoso.com and you have an account in the same namespace in Azure AD (O365) you must first change the Service Admin to an alternative MSA Example: someone@outlook.com in order to complete the step in the article. If your current MSA does not match an account that already exists in the AAD then ignore this and just continue with the steps in the Article.

I hope that helps, if you have any further questions please be sure to respond and I'll get back to you.

    Kindest Regards,

    James.

  • Is there any support here?

There is no way for a MSDN Bizspark to get support?

I have created a ticket with Office 365, closed, because it is an Azure issue
I have created a ticket with Bizspark, closed because it is an Azure issue
I have created a ticket with Azure billing, as that is the only way I can open a ticket, closed, because not billing.
I have created a Support Request on this forum, but nothing happens...

Is this the way support works, I am guessing this is not the way I would like to sell things in the future...

    Please advice...

    Thank you!

  • This solution is valid ?

I found thread where Microsoft Support wrote

"you cannot add the same domain in different Microsoft services at present"

    http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/148/t/271435.aspx

  • Yes, This solution is valid.

A company can only verify the domain name against a single Azure Active Directory Instance, This Directory Service should be used across all Microsoft Online Services weather that be Office 365, Dynamics CRM, Intune or Microsoft Azure.

In that scenario, If you want to add the domain to a Azure Website you can do that totally independent of Microsoft Azure Active Directory. I shall respond to that thread on the Office 365 Community.

    Thanks,

    James.
