  • Testing like how?  The SDK for BizTalk has some pretty good examples, including sample messages.  I would look there.  When I want to test EDI I generally use two BizTalk dev machines and each one plays either receiver or sender.  This let's you see all aspects of their behavior quite easily.

    Kind Regards,

  • If you want to learn about EDI specifically around BizTalk server, an excellent resource is Microsoft's very own Virtual Labs. They are free and do not require you to have anything but a compatible web browser.

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/aa740373

More specifically, there are Virtual Labs specifically for EDI.

    Sending EDI Messages: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9663649

    Receiving EDI Messages: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9663648

You can reach out to me directly if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

  • Assuming you already know about Biztalk and EDI and want to arrange some scenario that shows or proves your recent readings or knowledge, the virtual labs or the SDK samples are a good way to go. But, if you are not used to Biztalk, dont have much time and were given a task to come up with an opinion about how quickly you could come up with an EDI solution, I wouldn't recommend any of the above since you would probably get overwhelmed and frustrated: The labs are assuming you already know lots of concepts, and the SDK is not well documented so you only have the artifacts and code present there.

    Regards.
