  • Question

  • This is my first time using azure. I have a pipeline in devops, it creates docker images and push the images to my ACR. But wen i try to pull the images from container web app I get error:

    2019-11-28 16:19:09.260 INFO  - Pulling image: tenderstrendingur.azurecr.io/server2019-11-28 16:19:09.387 ERROR - DockerApiException: Docker API responded with status code=NotFound, response={"message":"manifest for tenderstrendingur.azurecr.io/server:latest not found: manifest unknown: manifest unknown"}

    This is the docker-compose config:

    version: "3"

    services:
      # SERVER CONTAINER

      server:
        image: [containerRegistry]/server
        expose:
          - 4000
        ports:
          - 4000:4000
        command: node src/server.js
        restart: always

      # CLIENT CONTAINER

      client:
        image: [containerRegistry]/client
        ports:
          - "80:80"
          - "443:443"
        links:
          - server
        depends_on:
          - server
        restart: unless-stopped

And I have the images in the registry.

  • Hi roberthalfdanar,

From the error message, It looks like the image with the tag "latest" is not available in the registry.

You can verify that from portal or using cli.

In portal go the registry and select the server repository.  All the available tags are listed on the right. Make sure you have latest tag there.

How are you authenticating to the Azure container registry?

You can login to the registry using docker login or az acr login .

Log in tot the registry from the machine where you are running docker compose up.

Then run docker compose and let me know the results.
