Async/Await issue in WPF UserControl project after installing VS 11 Beta side by side VS 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed Visual Studio 11 side by side Visual Studio 2010 with Async Ctp 3 in Windows 7 OS.

    All VS 2010 projects using async/await are ok, except WPF UserControl projects where the compiler outputs an error:

    "Cannot find all types required by the 'async' modifier. Are you targeting the wrong framework version, or missing a reference to an assembly?"

    Tu reproduce the issue, just write this method in a UserControl derived class:

    public async Task Issue()
       await TaskEx.Yield();

    There is a similar issue with identical error reported, but it is for VS 11 on Windows 8 CP.

    My first try will be to uninstall VS 11 Beta (it's a pitty because I like the new VS UI).

     Note: of course, Async Ctp library is referenced in the UserControl library.
