Can't create MySQL database - "No regions are currently available." RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to custom create a new website with a MySQL database. For database I select "Create a new MySQL database". My web hosting plan is Default1 (East US, shared). On the next slide the REGION dropdown is empty and mouseover shows the error "No regions are currently available. Try again later."

  • Hello Dan Milliken,

This could have been caused due to some of the billing issues within your account. I suggest that you contact the Support Team to get further help with this.

  • Hello Dan Milliken,

I just tried to recreate your exact scenario, and I see that I dont have any issues in creating the SQL Database. Please try after sometime and let us know the results.

Alternatively, you can try to create the SQL Database using the other portal.

  • To be clear- I'm trying to create a MySQL database, not a SQL database.

I've resolved that I need to add the ClearDB MySQL add-on from the store. Unfortunately, I'm getting an error doing that also. On the "Review Purchase" slide, I get the message:

We cannot provide a billing estimate at this time. Please try again later. If this error persists, contact support with the following information.

An error occurred while sending the request.

  • FWIW, I'm having the exact same issue with no regions showing up when trying to create a new MySQL DB for a new WordPress site.

When I try to manage the MySQL DB for another WordPress site I have via the "Linked Resources" of the website, I get "The management site for the database isn't available right now. Please try again later."
