Project Server 2010 workspace creation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

for one of our customers we have developped and application that programmaticaly creates project and related project sites based on custom EPT.

We have 3 different EPT with 3 different project site templates. Sometimes, after the project creation, we find that the project site is based on the default EPT instead of being based on the custom EPT. It's not always like that but we don't understand why this is happening. No errors on the queues, just the wrong site template being picked.

    Can someone help please?

  • Hi there--

Seems to be a duplicate post of:

Did you verify if any of these project having wrong site template are created using MS project?

Do you have any serverside event handler for OnPublished event project where you check the enterprise project type & assign the site template to create the project site?

Do you have the code with you to debug?

  • Hello, I posted my question here because it seems more appropriate since it's custom code.

    Back to your questions:

    1) we don't use Ms Project, all projects are created via custom web services that are calling the EPTm which should automatically create the project site using the appropriate template

    2) we don't have event handler, it's an external application that calls our services where we have custom code for project creations

    3) I don't have the code with me, I will post it later today
