[MS-ADTS] Delete operation on SAM-Specific Object RRS feed

  • Question

  • MS-ADTS section 3.1.1.5.5.5 specifies

'If the object being modified is a SAM-specific object (section 3.1.1.5.2.3), additional constraints apply (see [MS-SAMR] section 3.1.1.6).'

But it is unclear from [MS-SAMR] section 3.1.16 about exactly what needs to be performed when doing the delete operation on SAM-specific object.

    Can you clarify?

    Thanks

    Rajesh

  • Hi, Rajesh,

The reference used in the sentence is not right since the section 3.1.1.6 of MS-SAMR only documents the constraint for updating the attributes on SAM-specific object, not for deleting a SAM-specific objects.    Deleting some SAM-specific objects (User, Group and Allias)  will be through SAM interface, so the constraint in 3.1.5.7 Delete Pattern in MS-SAMR will apply.    We will continue to work on updating MS-ADTS to make sure the correct reference is used for the delete constraint for SAM-specific objects.

    Thanks!
