Force to open forms in InfoPath Filler RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have 2 users, they both do the same operations but getting different results.

The problem is, that when Form Library view changed from standard to datasheet, one user can access the form clicking on the formname.xml (it's opening in Filler), another getting error "cannot open the form in web browser". I need  change this behaviour, that when forms name clicked where ever it was (Standard, Datasheet view), form must opened in InfoPath Filler.

    SharePoint 2010, infopath form 2010.

  • Hi,

As I understand, the forms must be opened in InfoPath filler in the form library in SharePoint 2010.

Do the 2 users do the same option in the different computers or in the same computer?

    Check things below:

    1. Check if the InfoPath filler has been installed in the computer.

    2. Check if the option “open in the client application” has been selected in the form library setting.

The article below is about why InfoPath forms may not be opening in the browser.
