how to build a .asm to let it work in real mode in WEC7: RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Now i want to do some S3 job in WEC7 in X86 platform. As to my known, I have to set waking vector and make one part of code to let BIOS jump to my waking vector first and then execute my wake up code in real mode.  In this file I declare it such as "_TEXT SEGMENT WORD PUBLIC USE16 'CODE'".

I know that loadcepc.exe is a 16-bit program and has to be built expecially, not with "build -c". Should my asm file also be built like the way of loadcepc.exe? Thanks.
