FTPS Adapter & MQSeries Adapter - BTS 2009/2010 beta RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

As, I already mentioned in my previous thread that I'm a newbie in MS BTS world, so please answer my some queries patiently :)

I found in the MS documentation that there is new adapter of FTPS.

I installed the BTS 2010 Beta (Base pack),  but I didn't find FTPS, listed under 'Adapters' in BTS Adminstration console (BTS Admin Console ->Platform Settings ->Adapters)

It means its an enhanced FTP adapter with FTPS support, right ?

I have also one concern about the MQSeries Adapter.

MQSeries Adapter comes with the BTS 2006/2009/2010 beta (Base Pack), I observed that after successfully installation of BTS 2010, MQSeries adapter listed under 'Adapters' in BTS Administration Console ->Platform Setting, like other base adapters MSMQ, FTP, HTTP, etc

but  when I run the Perfmon.exe I have not found Performance Object related to MQSeries Adapter, unlike FTP,MSMQ, HTTPS etc. Adapters perfomn objects.

So Is there no Perfmon object related to MQSeries adapter or we need to load the perfmon counter related to MQSeries manually.

  • Hi,

Yes, your right about both. The FTP adapter has been enhanced in BizTalk 2010. You can use the FTP adapter in both secure and "normal" mode. Thiago Almeida wrote a good article about the new FTP adapter features in BizTalk hotrod. See:

You're also right about the performance counters for MQS. As far as I know there are no seperate performance counters for this adapter.
