• Hi David,

This has been reported earlier for BizTalk 2010 and BizTalk 2013 as well. Refer the article: BizTalk 2013 Hosts Crashing.

Check if the workaround provided in the link works for you.

I would also advice you to Log a call with Microsoft and share all dumps with them and let them analyze and fix this for you.

• Not sure, if you say it's "all of a sudden", but can you confirm that nobody tampered with the 64 bit hosts config file (BTSNTSvc64.exe.config) and that the config file is still valid (valid xml etc.)

• As first thing, I would suggest you to compare the BTSNTSvc.exe.config file from any other environment.

If that looks good, in that case it might be a known issue of host crashing as suggested by Rachit.

So request you to open a ticket with Microsoft and they should be able to help. And if it is a bug, it will be totally free as well.

Thanks,
Prashant

Permanent Solution:-

Microsoft has created a fix for this issue and it will be included in BizTalk 2013 Cumulative Update 3 as well as BizTalk 2010 Cumulative Update 7. The article at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2555976 will be updated once CU3 or CU7 are publicly released.

If you need this fix before either CU is publicly released, please create a support case with Microsoft and request fix 2909928.

Understand that .NET 4.5 is not officially supported on 2010 until CU7 is released so if you're on 2010, it's better to wait till CU7 is released before installing .NET 4.5. That being said, the fix is still available if you already installed .NET 4.5 on your 2010 machine.

Note that 2013 CU2 or 2010 CU6 are required prerequisites for this fix.

- 2013 CU2: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2555976
- 2010 CU6: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2855367

Also, please be sure to understand the information at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2003907 before installing any BizTalk fix or CU.
