How best to promote Apps in the Store RRS feed

  • Question

  • First of all I would like to thank the following people for their prompt, amazing support, advice and of course patience. Which without I would not have been able to get my 2 apps submitted to the Microsoft Store successfully.

Daisy Tian, Rob Caplan, Cherry Bu, Mattew Wu, Bob Ding, Roy Li, Nicole Zhu, wolfSYS, Xavier Xie, Azat Tazayan, Dave Smits

Secondly the question is how to promote my Apps in the Microsoft Store Twitter Instagram etc. The reason being, my App HSAT20 is for T20 cricket, and at the moment there is a massive T20 tournament in India on now. Last year there was over 18.8 million tweets about #IPL. Follow this link https://www.iplt20.com/. My App HSAODI is for ODI(One Day International) cricket. Starting 30-May-2019 is the ODI world Championship in England. Follow this link https://www.cricketworldcup.com/

  • It all depend on what each of the advertizing channels wants.

One simple mechanism is to use the url created for your store app.

Goto your Dashboard, find your app + the App Management | App Identity section for your app.

In there will be something that looks like:

    https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9N0J7MHQN65V

which you can use to drive people to your product page

  • Hi monaro1961,

Custom campaign may promote app on Twitter and the Microsoft could track each click and associates it with the corresponding custom campaign. You could see this simple instructions in document Example custom campaign scenario. The Part Start promoting yourself this blog which include more steps and detailed description may also give you some help.

    Best regards
