  • Nope. The APIs that do this, in Windows.Management.Deployment, require full trust and thus cannot be used from a Windows Store app. They are only usable from desktop (Win32) apps and built-in apps that have that trust level.

  •  i have an idea of developing a windows store app which lock the metro style installed app with a password to avoid unauthorized  access... is there a way ?

  • One Windows Store app cannot control any aspect of others; they are purposely isolated from one another, so trying to control access to other apps isn't possible.
