I have a userform and a Spreadsheet. How to create a constant? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm at a loss, I have 3 , 10sheet workbooks, with similar attributes combined into to one workbook, I have one consolidated form that relies on a global variable for the if =1,2,3 then...  I created a global variable in its own module, and dedicated a cell on the main launch page of the combined workbook. When I select the option button(1 of 3), it hides the other two (20sheets) and sets the cell value, and global variable. (the end goal will be to jetison the other sheets, but not there yet.)

As I jump around and in and out of the forms durning my debug, I find that although the cell and option buttion appear correct, the global variable, gets lost. Is there a tried and true way to lock these together, or is there a muchbetter way.

    thank you

    heads up

  • Why use a global variable at all? The option button and the cell it is linked to should be sufficient - you can always refer to the value of the cell.
