  • Hi Rick,

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

I recommend you use .NET Framework Setup Verification Tool to verify the .NET Frameworks you have. If all the .NET Frameworks are healthy, this problem is related to the application. If any .NET Framework fails to be verified, it seems like your problem is related to .NET Framework.

If you find .NET Framework 2.0 SP2/3.0 SP2/3.5 SP1 is corrupt in Windows 7, you can try to repair them via the steps: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2007/03/26/how-to-repair-the-net-framework-2-0-and-3-0-on-windows-vista.aspx. If it fail to be verified after the repair, you are required to reinstall or repair your OS due to that .NET Framework 2.0 SP2/3.0 SP2/3.5 SP1 are embedded in Windows 7 as a Windows component.

If you find .NET Framework 2.0/3.0 is corrupt in Windows Vista, you can try to repair them via the steps: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2007/03/26/how-to-repair-the-net-framework-2-0-and-3-0-on-windows-vista.aspx. If it fail to be verified after the repair,  you are required to reinstall or repair your OS due to that .NET Framework 2.0/3.0/3.5 are embedded in Windows Vista as a Windows component.

For other version of Windows, you can uninstall the corrupt .NET Frameworks and reinstall them again.

If you have any other concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Best Regards,
