How to upgrade silverlight control to bing map V8 silverlight control RRS feed

  • Hi,

    We have one question, We have build project to plot records on bing map using silverlight control. Is silverlight control will work or we need to upgrade it to silverlight Bing map V8. For upgrade silverlight control can you please provide document or sample code.

    We used following silverlight services.

  • V8 is a java script based control, not Silverlight. The legacy Silverlight control will continue to work indefinitely but may one day stop showing base maps. This can be worked around by loading map tiles from the rest services.

    However, the curls you provided are not part of the Silverlight control, but the legacy soap services which are being turned off in the next few weeks. To migrate these use the bing maps rest services. There is an easy to use .net library for accessing the rest services here: https://github.com/Microsoft/BingMapsRESTToolkit
