Sort & combine multiple values in a column range into a CSV RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

What is the easiest way to sort data in multiple cells (in a row) and then combine them into a CSV (column)?

    E.g.

    Desc    Label1    Label2    Label3    CSV
    Foo       L2            L1           L3           L1, L2, L3
    Bar       L5            L6           L3           L3, L5, L6

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Amir,

We can use "Sort" feature to sort the data in a an Excel. You can get more detail about this feature from link below:
Quick start: Sort data in an Excel worksheet

And to combine the values into one column, an easy way is that we can write a formula. We can put formula below in B2:

    =B2&","&C2&","&D2

Then we can select the B2 and drag this cell to extend the value to the cells we wanted.

In addition, if you want to achieve the goal via code. We can use Record Macro feature to get a quick run-able sample for the reference.

    Hope it is helpful.
