Can I use Kinect to save a video? RRS feed

All replies

  • Yes their is but scott has made a filter for kinect to be recoginized as a normal camera making capture and storage easier because you can open up the kinect more directly.

Heres a link to his popular thread on normal camera feed:

I also have one thats he made for the depth cam.

My best guess is this method from scott makes it possible to use openfile or  once you initialize kinect device in sdk you can open a stream to the kinect device.

  • Copy it directly into the web browser and paste because sometimes directly clicking the link doesnt work. Also, need a gmail account to download the file because sometimes it asks and other times it doesnt but you can open a stream also in code but its much easier to use scotts file for video recording  purposes.
