Problem in expanding combobox on the gridview in touch mode

    Question

  • Hi Everybody,

I am developing a windows store app. In dashboard i have gridview. On the top of gridview i have one combobox to search the items in gridview by item name. That combobox is outside of gridview but very close to the gridview(i.e top of the gridview). When I expand the combobox its gives exception. This problem occur only in touch mode. In mouse mode it is working pretty good.

    Please help me.

  • Hi Thanks respond me.

    Issue fixed.

i mentioned  MaxDropDownHeight=10 so its throw an exception

after removing it is working fine. Because there is not enough space to expand.

  • 1) What's the exception?
    2) If you move the combobox away from the gridview, does it still throw the exception?

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.

  • The Exception is

"A cycle occurred while laying out the GUI." and "Layout cycle detected.  Layout could not complete."

Exception not occur when i moving.
