Monitoring Alert Notifications not being sent. RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I've set up azure server monitoring for a various counters for web servers in our Azure IaaS environment.  Over the past few weeks we've had some server issues which have caused CPU to run extremely high for extended periods of time.  We are also monitoring the response times for the web endpoints on the servers as well.

    I can see that the thresholds for some of the monitors are being exceeded and the portal shows that the alerts are active, but for some reason we are not being sent any emails to the notification email address I've configured.

    I have confirmed that the email address used is valid and we can send to it directly.

    Screenshot of the alert status shown below.  We never received an email for this alert.

    Alert notifications were previously working.  When I first configured them, I had thresholds set low and received some alerts by email.

    Does anyone know how we should resolve this?
