How to print a RDLC in Portrait format using ReportViewer in VS 2012? RRS feed

    Hi,

    I've a RDLC report file with width - 9in & height - 6.5in.

Since width is greater than height, orientation is by default Landscape. But, I want to print this in Portrait format.

I tried setting orientation to Portrait, but it automatically changes to Landscape.

    How to do this?

the trick is to create the report as a square i.e. Width = 9in & Height = 9in BUT only use the first 6.5in of the report from top to bottom to place items. leave the bottom 2.5in zone as blank. this is the only trick that worked for us.

You can't unless you change the width for the report to be within 8'5 X 11'' range and change the orientation in the report to portrait.
