Created SDK from OS Image does not support SmartDevice Unit Testing in VS2008 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I ran into a problem while providing the SDK for our WEC 7 image.
After building the OS Image I was asked to build the SDK for our application guys to start developping.
I created the SDK and made sure to include support for managed development.
The SDK installed fine and I was able to use it as Target for deployment from within a SmartDevice Project in VS 2008.
While trying to create a Unit Test from within VS 2008 I got an error message:
The following error occurred while creating the Test Project.
    Id is empty
    Parameter name: Id
After acknowleding with "OK" the project is created, but the related test files ".vsmdi" and ".testrunconfig" are missing.
Switching the projects  Target Platform to "Windows CE" and repeating the process resolves the problem.
All test related files are created. Iwas able to change the "Device" to the device entry created by my SDK and the test ran fine on the device (here VCEPC).
What am I missing in my SDK setup? Are there any specific setting that I need to include in the SDK or in the OS Image prior to creating the SDK.
    Thanks in advance.
