Cannot Access Website Remotely RRS feed

Hi, I am running a IIS 7 setup in vista and I cannot access my site externally.  I can access locally as well as using an internal ip http://192.168.x.x to access content but when using my external ip I get nothing.  I do not get a 404, but simply a page took too long to respond error.  I know my port 80 is not being blocked by my isp because I have used an apache server before, nonetheless I tested port 90 after changing the setting and ended up with the same result.  There is probably some simple setting I missed but I have been going around for hours trying to figure it out but I am still stuck.

Use this to verify that the port is working..

then check if your port forwarding is configure properly.

I must have fixed it by tweaking some random options but didn't realize it because I could only access the site internally using localhost or my internal 192.168.x.x ip address.  After trying it at another pc I could access it remotely.

huh ? if it's other internal machine. you can just use the internal IP. the public IP + port forwarding is from client coming from the Internet.
