    hi all,

as soon as users submits the form i need to generate one registration number and also i need to send that info to the user and supervisor for his approval. in the email body i will be sending the link of the applicaiton along with registration number like http://Intranet/Onlineregistrationform?id=100

when supervisor selects that link from his outlook emial, (back to web application) i should be able to read the "id" info from the link, design the page and i have to display that form with the approve or reject button, as per his selection i need to update the database. it is direct supervisor screen.

can nay one help me how to read the "id" information from the email as it is selected.

    Thanks in advance.

    hi

When you click on the link..it will be opening it in the browser..you can do a request.querystring["id"] and  can take that value..

but make sure that querystring is encoded...so it wont be visible for others to actually look/change the id..

In case if you are going accept or rejection in the mail itself then you need to have two buttons /hyperlinks

and have the link this way http://Intranet/Onlineregistrationform?id=100&type=accept

and for reject it shld be like http://Intranet/Onlineregistrationform?id=100&type=reject

    hope it helps..thanks...
