Linked service refresh issue with parameters

    General discussion

  • Hi

    In my dataset (ds) i have created ......

    parameters Tab

    1- PA_conCurrentFile   STRING     Sales.txt

    2- PA_conPath             STRING     myblob/SalesFolder

    Connection Tab

    1- FilePath             @dataset().PA_conPath    /     @dataset().PA_conCurrentFile

    The problem is that it doesn't allow me to click on the schema to detect the fields,

    am i missing anything? i think this must be fixed by MS

    anyone can help from MS?

    Sincerely

       Nik

  • Hi,

    Import schema is blocked when any related field is parameterized. This is by design.

    I suggest you fill in the static value in file path first, click import schema, then parameterize file path.

  • How come we can do this in SSIS, I think this must not be blocked, the dataset is reading from its own parameter that has a default value, this must be possible during design time.

    this feature will help during design time specially when I auto generate 100 pipelines

    now i can not have a full breath of a framewrok so that i can generate 100 pipeline out of the framework.
