  • Question

  • I have created an Expression Box; how do I find the name of it?

I am conditionally formatting a section based on the value of this Expression Box.

  • Hi,

An expression box only displays data and does not store it, so you should use an expression box only if you do not want to save its value or reference it in another formula. So you cannot get the name of Expression box.

  • I do not want to save whats in the Expression Box.  It contains a value from UserName() and I want to conditionally format a section based on this value.

  • You cannot point to the expression box itself to obtain its value.  What you can do is on the section, add your conditional formatting using the same formula you have the expression box set to.

  • I've tried your way and I get an error "The formula contains one or more errors."
