  • Hi

Does Windows store apps have some API to do Audio/Video encoding and muxing to .mp4 file of raw stream or stream that is currently playing through MediaElement ?

  • I don't think so, but I'll ask our media guy to check this out. He's out this week but should be back next week.

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.

  • Hello,

Alexander you can use the SinkWriter to mux or transmux h.264 data. You would need to write your own MFT or Sink to intercept MediaElement data.

    I hope this helps,
