VS2010 C# .NETMF 4.1 'CLR_E_OUT_OF_RANGE in file MMP' RRS feed

  • Question

  • Has anyone experienced this error, in VS2010?

I can get no help on it and no references in MSDN searches

    Help greatly appreciated.

Wondering if it relates to the memory size of my embedded target or a rogue resource link.

  • Hi Earthed,

How do you get this error?
What did you perform and in which step or line of code was the error thrown?

This is a problem with the post-processing tool, metadataprocessor. There are plenty of implicit limits in the MicroFramework that are specific to our platform (size of the assembly, number of type definitions, etc...) according to this thread: http://www.eggheadcafe.com/microsoft/NET-Microframework/30965316/mirco-framework-error-clreoutofrange.aspx. There are some further suggestions in it, please try them out.
