Why can't I see the toc data on left anymore!? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I must have done something, but now, when I do a search on MSDN and look for documentation about an API call (e.g. windows call etc...), I only see the article and do not see the table-of-content type of data on the left! :(

Any idea what I did? How to fix this?

i.e. I tried looking for some configuration of the MSDN.com website, but I could not find anything.

    Thank you,

    Nicolas

  • Nicolas,
Check this article http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2008/10/28/450018.aspx on TOC. Let us know if this helps.

  • Yes; this is exactly it!

I was also able to select a small vertical bar on the far left and drag it on the right; thus showing the TOC (Table of Content).

p.s. The article listed above talks about Exchange info; but, this applies (I think) to all MSDN content.

Also, not directly related but quite useful also; the above link talks about how to get data for low-band connections. For example, looking at one typical MSDN article went from 332 Kb to only 30 Kb!!  Quite useful if you are on a mobile device :)

    Again, thank you,

    Nicolas
