FileOpenPicker works in Test Mode with Visual Studio 2013

Question

I am working with the FileOpenPicker for a Windows Phone Silverlight 8.1 app project;

All is working OK in testing, if the app is deployed to a Windows Phone 8.1 device, from Visual Studio 2013;

However, after publishing the app to the Windows Phone Store - and downloading the app to a Windows Phone 8.1 device...

If a file is selected from the Windows Phone 8.1 device, the app seems to terminate after the selected of the file;

To reiterate: There is no issue when a file is selected from the Windows Phone 8.1 device - if the app has been deployed to a Windows Phone 8.1 device from Visual Studio 2013;

Any insight, guidance is appreciated;

Best guess is there is a permissions issue.  I would check the manifest. When debugging you don't always get the permission issues.  It could not hurt to put something in the unhandled exception event to log the error.  I would use something like Xamarin insights or maybe little watson
