  • Question

  • Hi Team,

I am trying to run powershell script using automation runbook in free trial version. Attached is the screenshot of the error.

Could you please confirm if the errors are bcz of the modules not being installed ?

  • Hi Rahul,

This error can happen for the following reasons:

    • The module that contains the cmdlet isn't imported into the Automation account.
    • The module that contains the cmdlet is imported but is out of date.

Make sure you have imported AzureRM.HDInsight and AzureRM.KeyVault modules into Azure Automation account.

Do one of the following tasks to resolve this error:

  • What is your version of PowerShell ? Azure PowerShell works with PowerShell >=5.1 on Windows, >= 6.x on all platforms.

If you have a compatible version, have you installed the Azure Powershell module ? Keep in mind that it isn't the same as the Azure CLI.

    Get-AzureKeyVaultSecret works on my computer.
