How to show chart series labels outside the Stacked Column Report

Question

Hi

I have an issue with the SSRS Stacked Column report in showing the series chart labels outside the column.

I did set the Chart Series Label's property Position = Outside, but nothing happened, label always shown in the middle of the column though I set the value to outside, top or bottom.

Any help would  be highly appreciated.

Hi Jobin,

Click on the Legend - >right-click - > Legend Properties .. - > General - > Dock to Chart area = Default

Show legend outside chart area  (check this option) and then set Legend Position as required :

Hi Jobin,

According to your description, I have tested the issue in my test environment and can reproduce it.

In Reporting Services, each chart type has a different shape, data point labels are placed in an optimal location so as not to interfere on the chart. On Stacked Charts, labels can only be positioned inside the series. The behavior is by design. Therefore, I would suggest you submitting a wish at https://connect.microsoft.com/sql.
