Drawing a DDS for a 2D game RRS feed

  • I understand that .dds is the preferred runtime format for Rendering.  I just want some sample code to draw a .dds texture file to the screen.  That's all I want.  Nothing more.  I have been wandering through sample code for hours trying to find this one simple thing.

    I'm not sure if I should be using wic (as used in SampleOverlay.cpp) or something else to load textures.
