NDisTest 6.0 2c_Mini6RSSSendRecv RSS Test Failure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I'm running the HCK tests on a 10GbE network adapter in Windows Server 2012 R2 and am receiving an error in the RSS Test, 2c_Mini6RSSSendRecv.

During certain variations of the test which send data simultaneously using several connections, I see a failure which states:

"Some of the sent net buffers were corrupted or lost during communication"

For each of these failures, in the accompanying "IP RSS NB Constructor Receive Statistics", I see the following:

       "Number of Connections :0"

All of the other (successful) connections' results show valid Connection information.

    My question is:

What can cause the client to fail in this manner?  Is this indicative of a failed TCP connection (i.e. dropped SYN packet)?

    Thanks,

    Rick

  • This problem was due to lost packets.  All of the [attempted] connection's packets were lost, thus no connection was ever established.  Hence, the aforementioned message was displayed.
