way to do multipolygons with .polygon and vertices in V7 Bing Map Ajax? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Is there a way to do multipolygons with  .polygon and vertices in V7 Bing Map Ajax.  Or do I just need to create separate polygons?

    Thanks,

  • Funny you should bring this up. I was just working on creating a multipolygon/polygon with hole set of classes. I've created these new classes by inheriting the EntityCollection class and extending it. I'm able to get everything to render nicely but ran into a bug which is causing issues when adding events. It looks like this bug has already been reported. Basically, it you have multiple EntityCollections or Entities added directly to the map then an entityCollection placed over top the mouse events do not make it through the EntityCollection to polygons and polylines that are underneath.  If I can figure out a work around for this issue I plan to write a blog post about this. Anyone figure out a solution for this bug?

  • There is no native support for multipolygons. You could add several polygons to the same entitycollection, which means you could do operations like hide/show/delete them en masse.
