  • You'll need to provide more information about what you're trying to do to get a useful answer.

I'm guessing that you're remoting into a Windows 8 machine via an iPad (using Splashtop or similar?).

The charms bar is ALWAYS viewable in Windows 8 by swiping from the right (or by keyboard/mouse). The charms bar is always active for the application that is taking up the most screen space (i.e. NEVER a snapped app to my knowledge).

You can't snap apps if the screen resolution is below the minimum for the feature (e.g. an iPad with a non-retina screen can't display enough resolution for snapping apps).
