Multiple BAM Views & Orchestration EventStreams RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a BAM activity with multiple BAM views defined under same activity and I am using Orchestration EventStreams to write live data.

    Is there a way I can specify view name when we use Orchestration EventStreams as I can only BeginActivity method (not sure which view it will take in run time)

    Microsoft.BizTalk.Bam.EventObservation.OrchestrationEventStream.BeginActivity(bamActivityName, bamActivityID.ToString());

    Please advise.

  • No, the API work with the Activity as the basic block to write the data to the database. Views are nothing but the way the data is displayed for a tracked activity.

  • As far as I know, there is no way to push data per view as the api only move data according to the activity(Database tables are created based upon how you define your activity.)

  • Is there a specific requirement to send data to a specific View? Maybe you need to design a new view based on the Activity attributes? As noted by Mandar, you can only write to an Activity.
