URL Rewriting WCF services and WSDL RRS feed

  • Question

  • Over time my services have moved and changed names, but the key interfaces have not changed.  I continue to support both old and new locations by using an HTTP module which performs URL rewriting.  This allow legacy clients to access and develop against legacy service locations.

However, when I use URL rewriting, the auto-generated WSDL is always generated using the service's actual hosted location (the location after rewriting), not the requested service location (the url before rewriting).

Has anyone encountered this?  Is there an easy fix to support both new and old service locations?  I'd prefer not to rewrite HTTP response text if I don't have to.
