Filter data view columns not working after adding date filter RRS feed

    Hello,

    I have created a site page with a dataview and connected date filter web parts. The date filters work fine however I can no longer apply column filters. This is confusing to me because I have another site in the same farm that is set-up the exact way but I am allowed to set column filters along with the date filter. Could I just be missing a site feature I need to activate? Any ideas on how to fix this? All help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Eric,

    Here are 2 types of view in SharePoint 2010, one is list view and the other is data view. They can create in following steps in SharePoint Designer.

    1. List view: Insert > Data View > Select your list directly.
    2. Data View: Insert > Data View > Empty Data View > Then select your list and fields.

    And by default, we can filter list from list header in list view. But in data view, we need to enable “Header” option under Design tab on SharePoint Designer ribbon.

    If you want to directly use list header, please create a list view web part instead.
