Filtering Chart Web Part with columns Assigned To and Tasks Count from Tasks List RRS feed

    I understand that you want to create a pie chart like shown in the picture above. What do you mean by filter the chart web part? Is the Tasks Count a column in the Tasks list ?

    I assume that you the Tasks Count is a column in the Tasks list. In OOTB way, you can add a chart web part on the page. The pie chart web part will always show the users in the Pie chart when you set X field to Task Count and Y field to Assigned To. But you can add the Task Count as Tooltip field in Other fields tab.

     Or you can try this workaround. You can first export the Tasks list to excel using ‘Export to Excel’ button in the ribbon when viewing the page in browser.

      • After open the tasks in excel, you can insert a pie chart.
      • Right click on the empty pie chart and choose ‘Select data’. In this way, you can choose the data ranges in the excel field like this.
      • After creating the excel file, you can display this file in an excel web access web part.
