C# Learning forum with the same format as Small Basic's RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I'd love it if there were forums with same format as Small Basic's. Like with the monthly challenges and an Extensions challenge.

It seems SB is the only language under the learning category. Would be nice if there were C# and VB for those moving on from SB.

  • Not specifically about C#, but there are lots of lists of general challenges, such as:

    • Project Euler, mostly maths-related
    • Daily Programmer, wide variety with different difficulties of challenge
    • Code Golf, try and make a program in as few characters as possible
    • VisualGo, not a set of challenges but a lot of common algorithms illustrated

You might also want to try implementing common data structures.

You're unlikely to find extension challenges outside of Small Basic. With "real world" languages like C#, those are just libraries, and they're commonplace.

  • Maybe we could have 2 separate monthly challenges.

    1. SB without extensions, and
    2. SB with extensions (including writing extensions)

    There's something else too...

maybe we could set up a Community Account on GitHub for those learning to write extensions. This could provide a good collaboration experience.
