Getting Info from a web page table RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to gather statistics from a table format on a web page.  I can bring up the web page and view the table, however I wish to save the table as added rows to my database.  How can I save individual rows from an html page to my database in a VB program?

The data is stored in the same columns I would use in my database.  So I don't need to remove columns, just save the rows.

  • There aren't any good way to do this automagically. If you are using the WebBrowser control I'd suggest that you navigate in the Document object to find the table tag, and then iterate trough the rows and cells within each row to extract the content and add it to the database row by row.
