Need to export the USB reader from Win CE to PC RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am new to Window CE development environment.

I have an application (i.e DLL) on my PC, thru which I can communicate with the USB HID reader (directly connected to my PC) successfully.

Now from the same application (i.e. DLL) on my PC, I wanted to communicate (read/write) with the USB HID reader which is connected to a Win CE board(ARMV4I) with Windows CE 6.0 running. I am connecting to the Win CE board thru TCP/IP.

Can I export the USB port virtually which is on Win CE board to PC (windows XP) thru TCP/IP?

If yes, please guide us for the same.

Please provide if there are any other approaches to accomplish the above task.

    Thanks & Regards,

  • You can't do this in an app. You could write a umdf hid miniport which communicates over the network to the board and the rereports it
