How to compile into one single executable? RRS feed

  • Question

  • There are many websites on compiling a .NET WPF with .dlls into a single .exe. It is challenging to find a current website, with clear / concise information. Any suggestions?

Show us where. Some links, at least one, to something would help. And I do not know what a current website, with clear / concise information means.

  • Hi bhs67,

    Thank you for posting here.

To compile into one single executable, you can install Fody.Costura in your project.

Although your project output has not changed at all after building your project, Fody.Costura does include the referenced assemblies into one exe.

You can copy your exe to other location and excute it.

    Hope it can help you.

    Best Regards,

  • Current website => newest information (options can change over time).

Clear / concise => very few words.

  • I'm uneasy with using non-Microsoft programs.
